Well, I finally finished this very well written romance novel. It's definitely a page-turner! I started reading it in early March and I was all into it, especially as I could relate to Rumor losing her mom. My grandmother was in Hospice care at home and was dying. Reading about the emotions Rumor displayed at the lost of her mother, it prepared me in a way for my grandmother's passing. I knew her character would help me for when that time came for my own loss.There is so much I want to say about this love story that's centered around Christ. This is the first book I've ever read that fully drew me in. I quickly became emotional as Rumor and Holden's romance developed. My heart and spirit was open to the idea of a Godly romance. Up until that moment, I had lost hope and had no longer had a desire for a romance such as theirs. I've kind of just been going with the flow and accepting what I can get, even though I know it's temporary. I thank God for Mimi, for writing this book because it shook my spirit and reminded me of my worth and what God wants for me! My love for love was ignited again! Even though these are two characters in a fictional story, I know the kind of love they have for one another exists! This is the Godly love and romance I want God to bless me with when he feels I'm ready.
I didn't expect to relate to Rumor as much as I did but we are one in the same as far as emotions go. I've ruined relationships and friendships because of how males or ex-friends have treated me in the past. I have jumped to conclusions and assumed the worst because it was what I was used to. Just as Rumor's faith was greatly tested and she lost her way with God, I have been down that path as well. Praise God for always drawing us back to Him!! This book will or should draw you back to God - your first love!
The author Mimi Atkins is a gifted writer! Her way with words and descriptions revealed that I must up my writing and vocabulary game! Every scene she describes, I visualized it as I read. Her characters are well-developed and believable. They are so relatable that you can't help but have empathy. There were some parts that I had predicted, and there were some that caught me by surprise.
I look forward to reading more of this author's work!
To anyone that's dating, courting or thinking about dating or if you're struggling in your walk with the Lord, I would encourage you to read this book! It puts so much into perspective and will have you facing the ugly truth about yourself, the truth that we see but hate to admit!

After reading the first few pages I was hooked. I could not put down the book! Each page captivated me. The verbiage of the novel was so engaging. I related so much to the characters. The novel was so real and very forward with real life issues. The way that the Author followed the Holy Spirit in writing this art, was heartwarming. One will not be the same after reading this; mostly likely the story will hit home for a few, and lessons will be learned. I recommend this book over and over again.

The way God places two people together that need each other is just an amazing story! Unable to put the book down I just want to start and read t all over again! Such descriptive writing I can close my eyes and picture Rumor, her clothes, and the surroundings in the room. This book with open your eyes to what is already around you. FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE! Don't miss out on a great read!
This book was a sort of fairy tale written with intelligence, color and grace. I enjoyed the details
& descriptions of New York, Paris and the delightful choice of outfits.
I felt as if I experienced it personally- certainly provoked the full gamut of emotions in me. Would recommend to others.
I loved this story. Once I started reading and I couldn't put it down, so I ended up reading it all night. 'Hopeless romantic", has never been apart of my vocabulary and it was a breathe of fresh air to read a story that dealt with real life situations, with such vivid details and challenges, yet it resonated the most, because, It was a 'hopeful Romantic'. It's different and delightful. It inspired hope that true romance is possible for me one day,. This read is a roller coaster of lots of humor, unexpected turns, passion, wisdom, excitement, tension, emotional distress, dynamic characters, and beautiful locations. This is great for a group read with women and teenagers.The discussions would be very empowering.
This Christian romance novel was truly a pleasure to read! It was well-written, woven with a beautiful Christian-romantic theme, generally set in Paris, France. Many authors write about Paris, but only a few do it with the passion and knowledge shown by MiMi Q. Atkins. I felt as if I were in Paris witnessing this wholesome, breathtaking love story. I treasured the scripture passages liberally dispersed in this story, and commend the author for ensuring that the story line was underscored with people finding and expressing both love for each other and the Lord. I'm glad I read this book; it's a love story and so much more!
